The year 2023 marked her 22 years of her music journey, started being a soloist, accompanist, coaching private students for many years, Yichien discovered her passion for ensemble coaching after that. Ms. Yichien spent 7 years in KYS and 14 years in MKIS being an educator, successfully designed and developed the strings method for students age 7-18. Specialized in music performance, Ms. Yi Chien graduated with a bachelors of Music performance, Major in Piano performance and minor in violin studies, and cello has become her 3rd playing instrument throughout her education career. She foster structural learning, making close connections between music academic studies and real world scenarios. She also highly promotes values in her classroom teaching building trust and strong community sense with students in Middle and High School. Ms. Yi Chien has years of being an event/performance planner and excursion leader. She is also one of the masterminds behind many successful concerts in and outside of school. Ms. Yichien holds a Master Degree of education specialized in assessment and instructions. She sets a balanced system who is learner-centered and context specific for students musicians to progress at different pace.
